The Fellowship of Depressives Anonymous is a small national self help organisation for people with depression and those who care about them. It aims to encourage and support people with depression by means of self help and mutual support. The main contact point is through the information line which is open to all at any time and is answered personally for at least four hours a day. Any messages left at other times will be answered as soon as possible. Members of the Fellowship will recieve newsletters and information on pen friend and phone friend schemes and independant local groups.

SADA is a voluntary organisation and a registered charity which informs the public and health professionals about SAD, and supports and advises sufferers of the illness. SAD is a winter depressive illness that can so badly affect sufferers that they cannot function in winter without medical treatment. The association offers advice and information. It produces a newsletter three times a year and other publications, holds meetings, has a network of contacts and local groups as well as a lightbox hire scheme. It also raises money for research into SAD.

A charity which aims to help in the relief and rehabilitation of those people experiencing panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders and other related anxiety disorders as well as their carers, health professionals, families and/or friends. The Phobics Society can provide support and help if you've been diagnosed with, or suspect you may have an anxiety. The Society helps people deal with specific phobias such as fear of spiders, blushing, vomiting, being alone, public speaking and heights. NPS is a national user-led organisation, run by sufferers and ex-sufferers of anxiety disorders supported by a medical advisory panel. NPS aims to promote the relief and rehabilitation of persons suffering with anxiety disorders through information and provision of self-help services. NPS supports anyone suffering from anxiety, panic attacks/disorder, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social phobia, body dismorphic disorder (BDD), trichotillomania, tranquiliser problems, agoraphobia and other phobias. Members can access a full range of services, including specialist therapies, helplines, online services, self-help groups, legal help, workshops and conferences.

Eating Disorders Association is a national charity providing information, help and support for people affected by eating disorders and, in particular, anorexia and bulimia nervosa.
